Toyota/Lexus TNGA-F (Mid-size) Lower Control Arm Skid Plate Kit Installation Guide
This installation guide applies to NYTOP Lower Trailing Arm Skid Plate Kits for all Toyota/Lexus TNGA-F mid-size platform trucks and SUV’s, which include:
2024-Current Toyota Tacoma
2024-Current Lexus GX550
2024-Current Toyota Land Cruiser (LC250)
2025-Current Toyota 4Runner
A preview of the Lower Trailing Arm Skid Plate Kit.
Insert a rectagular threaded block into the back side of each of the lower trailing arm frame mounts, and position the front trailing arm skid plates (the larger ones) to the underside of the frame mounts. Note that the front skid plate is side specific, driver side (U.S. spec) shown in picture.
Insert an M10x25mm bolt with a washer into the bottom, and an M12x125mm bolt and nut combo with washers up top. Note that the Tacoma uses the upper hole, while the SUV’s use the lower hole.
Position the rear trailing arm skid plates (the smaller ones) to the underside of the lower trailing arm axle mounts. These are NOT side specific.
Insert two M12x25mm bolts and nuts with washers into the bottom two holes, and an M10x105mm bolt and nut combo with washers up top.
Torque down all the M12 bolts to 75 ft-lbs./101 Nm. and M10 bolts to 48 ft-lbs./65 Nm.
Enjoy the extra protection to the lower trailing arm mounts.
