The flares are held on by 3M™ Super Strength Molding Tape, as well as the OEM bolts in the wheel wells. The kit is available in high-quality automotive grade fiber-reinforced plastic in black primer (matte) which can be painted over or can be used as is. It is also available in high-quality carbon fiber with either a gloss or a matte top coat finish. Additionally, the kit adds 1.5 inches of width per corner on the Land Cruiser and First Edition trims, and 2 inches of width per corner on the 1958 trim. It is designed to provide extra protection to your vehicle’s body panels from the dirt and rocks picked up by wider and taller off-road tires.
